In consideration of my participation in the "Help Hope Healing Walk" ("the event"), I acknowledge and agree as follows:

Participation in this event involves risk to my person, and I do so at my own risk.

I assume all risk of injury, illness, damage, or loss to me or my property, whether foreseen or unforeseen.  This risk includes (without limitation) the loss or theft of my personal property.

I consent to medical treatment in the event of injury, accident, and/or illness during the event.

I agree to release and discharge the organizers of the event and all sponsors, representatives, and employees from any and all claims or causes of actions (known or unknown) that arise out of this event including negligence on the part of these actors.  This release shall be binding upon my personal representatives, heirs, executors, administrators, agents, and assigns.

I have carefully read this Waiver and Release and fully understand that it is a broad release of liability, including liability for negligence.  I waive any right that I may have to bring legal action to assert a claim against any event sponsor for negligence.  This waiver applies whether any such action would accrue in the sponsor’s personal or official capacity. 

I grant full and broad permission to use my name and likeness in any broadcast, telecast, video, or print media reporting or advertising, without compensation.

I am 18 years or older and have read, understood, and accepted this waiver and release.

I commit to participate in the full ten-mile walk.  I agree to walk at least one mile every fifteen (15) minutes.  I will be realistic about my health and my ability to maintain this pace.  I understand that the group will move at this speed and that it will create safety and organizational issues if I fall behind. Tennis Shoes are required.

Friendly Reminders: No strollers, No bikes, No pets, Wear comfortable shoes, Cars may NOT follow walkers
